We use cookies for analytics and ads only if you accept, and that consent is our legal basis. You can use the site and book either way, and change your choice at any time in Cookie settings.

Analytics shows us how the site is used, including clicks, scrolling and recordings of visits. What you type and your personal details are hidden, and the payment page is never recorded. Ads measure whether our ads lead to bookings and can be used for personalised advertising, including a hashed copy of your email.

If you reject, no recordings are made and these cookies stay off, though Google can still receive basic signals, such as that a page was viewed. The site always keeps your booking details until you close the tab and your cookie choice for up to 9 months, because it needs them to work.

Who receives the data

We use Google Analytics, and Google and Microsoft receive this data. They may process it outside Iceland, including in the United States, under the safeguards in their own policies. Microsoft is responsible for its own use of it and collects or receives personal data from us to provide Microsoft Advertising. Cookies on our site last up to 2 years, and Google and Microsoft can also set their own. Recordings are kept for up to 9 months and our analytics data for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at info@fosscarrental.com to see, correct, delete, limit or move your data, or object to its use. You can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd. Details you give us for a rental are covered in the Terms & Conditions.
